A tribute to that little ol' band from Texas

     ZZ Tejas is a tribute act to the great ZZ Top.  We work to honor the spirit of that little ol’ band from Texas by staying true to their sound and style. 

We perform a two-hour/two-set show, consisting of all of the classic and favorite ZZ Top hits, as well as some of the best album cuts from their catalog. 

     Our goal is to be a fun, professional stage act that appeals to all ages.  We are three very experienced musicians who have come together to do what we love -- perform and make our audience happy.  We are committed to our main goal, which is to provide groups and events a first-class performance with pro look and sound. Based out of Cleburne, Texas, we are available to play events in and around this region.

Mike Griffin = Bass Guitar and Lead Vocals

     I played in an original project early in my career that received some major label attention. After that, I played with Elvis Tribute artist, Kraig Parker for ten years, performing multiple European and Stateside tours. I played with Cleghorn, a Celtic Rock band for five years.

Jeff Summers = Guitar and Lead Vocals

     I honed my guitar skills playing in 3-piece blues-based bands in and around DFW, including Little Skynyrd (a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute) and Southern Glory. 

Steve Braswell = Drums and Vocals

     I played as a pro touring drummer throughout my 20s and 30s.  Then, for the next 20 years, I moved on to very successful corporate and event party bands in the Midwest.  

We continually rehearse to perfect a show that will make us all smile. ZZ Tejas will always do our best to be respectful in our approach to both the music and the legacy of ZZ Top.
